Hello to all of our flyers, spectators, and friends!

Hope you are all staying safe!

As we all know, Covid-19 has made extreme changes all of our daily lives.

At this time Broward County has closed all of the Public Parks including Vista View.

We will keep in touch with our Email Subscribers of when it will be safe to head out to the Field again.

If anything,  this is a great time to get back to builiding a fewe new kits and Homebrews.

Our best to all of you and your families and friends.

Here is the CDC link for more information on how to stay safe.

Happy New Year!

Hello to all of our flyers, spectators, and friends!

Unfortunately again for the third month in a row,  we have had to cancel our General Launch for bad weather.

We have been checking all of the major Weather Reporting Sites and they all are forecasting Rain between 10 and 30 percent.

They also predict that the winds will be from 23 MPH and gusts to 30 MPH plus.

We all know that this is not flyable or safe conditions.

Hoping for better luck on February 8th, 2020

Hello to all of our Flyers.

We really hate cancelling our Launches especially since we did not have one in August but we had several “Gotch Ya’s” all at the same time and the BARS Launch Crew will not be available for the upcoming Launch.

We have some of our Launch Crew unexpectedly out of town and others with some personal goings on which will keep them from being able to participate this month.

As for me, (Marc) I have gotten a serious foot injury and MUST stay off my foot for several weeks while it begins to heal.  Non Weight Bearing is what the Doc said. It makes it very difficult for me to get around at all, let alone at the Field.

Now with the bad news out of the way,  we have some VERY GOOD NEWS……

As some of you have heard, we were getting within a few months of losing Vista View Park as a Launch Site because of  the new Park Area Construction on the big hill behind us.

Well as plans go, it looks like we will have at least another year or possibly more before it goes into effect and our Yearly Permit is in the process of getting approved by the County for our 2019-2020 Launch Year.

And we do have of plans of every so often joining our sister club, Homestead Public Rocketry at their site for a change of pace.

Again,  we apologize for cancelling but every so often “Real Life” gets in the way and stops us from doing what we love to do… Launch Rockets.

As a Reminder, The West Palm Club has a Launch up at Dyer Park on Saturday September 28th and Homestead had their next Launch on October 5th 2019.  You don’t want to miss these!

And one last thing,  Our Vista View Park, Park Manager Mr. Chris Deal has been promoted and will be the new Senior Parks Manager at Tradewinds Park.

If you did not know, Chris has been the driving force behind working things out between Vista View Park and Broward County which has allowed us permission to Fly at the Park.

Chris,  from all of us  THANK YOU! and we all wish you great success in your future endeavors!

And another last thing… We wish to also send a BIG Thank You to Ms. Jessica DeChellis who is watching over Vista View for the coming weeks.  Jessica has been really great to work with and has been kind enough to work with us on the Permit renewal and it all looks good!

Take Care, Everyone and hope to see you all on October 12th, 2019
