Thank you to all who showed up to the Broward Area Rocketry Launch at Vista View Park on October 9th.
The day was picture perfect and we had dozens of successful flights.

Our next BARS Launch will be on Saturday November 6th, 2010 at 9:00AM. This will bring us back on schedule for the First Saturday of the month
I will be there by 8:30AM to setup the launch equipment. Your help is very appreciated.
I do want to make a special mention for Steve Gauche, who fly’s with BARS and TSF who obtained his Tripoli Level 1 and Level 2 Certifications this past weekend at the NEFAR Event.

Just wanted to express my gratitude to the good folks at NEFAR and to Bernie Lalime, Dave Garvin, Scott Borders and Jim Snell with assisting me on a very successful launch day. The best laid out plan was to use the PML Tethys to do the Level I to break in the first flight but I left my motor mount adaptors at home.
Thanks to Dave, he had a spare motor mount adapter and hardware so I can make this happen for Level II.
Thanks to Bernie for the motors and ground support. Thanks to Scott for checking and administering all the Levels performed. It was done with a LOC Graduator for level I and after passing the Level II test my PML Tethys did the Level II certification flight on its maiden voyage. Due to the very fine paint job and finish on the Tethys, I shall retire the rocket to the living room and build another kit to beat on.

The Tripoli South Florida Launch allows us to use A-G Motors. H and larger impulse Motors as set by your current Tripoli Rocketry Association Certification
If you need to purchase motors, please see Bernie who usually shows up at both launches. You can email him at BENBUZZBOY3@AOL.COM to make arrangements. Bernie is a dealer for Cesaroni and Aerotech Motors.
For all Launches, please remember to bring water, sun screen and head covering to protect yourself from the Sun. It is hot out there! Chairs, small covered tents and tables are welcome as well.

There is some talk about the NEFAR launch in November. There is a 2 day launch November 13th and 14th. Billed as 11th annual Bunnell Blast! It would be a real good time and a chance to get together with a big club to see how they do it out on a sod farm. I haven’t planned anything as far as TSF goes but it looks like it could be a good time. Check out their website by clicking on the NEFAR link.
