NEWS!!!

Our new Low/Mid Power Six Position Launch Rack has been completed and we have pictures to prove it.

I went through several designs as I wanted something simple to travel with and setup. After a few false starts I wound up using a 2×4 with a pair of Trojan Portable Steel 27″ Saw Horse Legs and Six Key-less Drill Chucks.

Once again I want to thank Marty from our sister club, Tripoli South Florida for the Blast Deflectors and Rods.

Our Rack can hold any rod from 1/8″ to 1/4″ and I have two of each on the Rack. We will still have our Quad-Pod Launch Pad out in the field for people who need a 1/2″ Rod or a Launch Rail.

The great thing about this Rack is that it sets up and breaks down very quickly.

And you if you were wondering. That is my Kitchen/Dining Room Area of my House.
My Wife Sandra, has graciously let me use this area for my Club STUFF!

Everybody say THANK YOU SANDY!

New Email Software.

One of the things about running a Blog or a Newsletter is that we have to be compliant with the CAN-SPAM Act and make sure that people who do not want email from us, don’t get it. We are now using a new format to send our Newsletters and Postings out by using MAILCHIMP. This software will help keep us within the Spam Laws.

It is taking a bit to get it right so please be patient.

Our next major decision will be what Launch System to use to go with our brand new Rack!

It Has To Be Said….
To make a Club like BARS work, we need to have member participation. We need help from setup to breakdown as well as helping out the newcomers as they come and go during the day. This will make our club grow.

So as Monty Python says “Hint Hint, Nudge Nudge”

And please remember to bring your family and friends! Kids just love this stuff!

If you want to try our hobby, a quick trip to Wal-Mart, Michael’s Arts and Crafts or Warrick Hobbies can get you started very quickly. All you need is a rocket and motors. There are even some kits that come completely built and finished for you. We supply all of the Launch Equipment.

For all Launches, please remember to bring water, sun screen and head covering to protect yourself from the Sun. It is hot out there! Chairs, small covered tents and tables are welcome as well.

See you all on Saturday.
