Hello Everyone!

TOP NEWS!

Seven Pads, No Waiting!
It has been a long two months since our last get together and Pratt Hobbies has finally delivered our Seven Pad Launch Controller!

Unfortunately, it looks like Tropical Storm Emily is on the way to South Florida. I am going to keep an eye out on the storms progress to see if we will have a Launch this coming Saturday. Lets all keep our fingers crossed!

Please keep checking the NARBARS WEBSITE to see if the Launch is on or call 305-992-5945 to speak to me directly.

Since we did not have a July Launch because of the Independence Day activities at Vista View Park, I know we are all “jonesing” to get some rockets up in the air. If we have to cancel, we can either wait until September or reschedule for the second Saturday in August.

At our May and June Launches, we got a chance to use our new 3 Pad Launch Controller and we were able to Launch more rockets than ever before!

Coming at our August Launch, our Seven Pad Controller will be ready! Thanks to all of you who donated to our Club Launch Fund and helped cover the costs of our club expenses which includes all of the Ground Support Equipment!

Since it worked out so well, I am going to continue our ALPHA/Donation Program.

Once again, For this coming Launch on Saturday August 6th, 2011, every person who makes a donation of $10.00 or more to our Launch Fund, (it can be more, I won’t complain) will get a FREE Estes Alpha III kit (18.98 retail). Supplies are limited.

Here is what’s happening in South Florida Rocketry.

As you can see from our headline, the next BARS Launch will be on Saturday August 6th, 2011 starting at 9:00AM. I will be there between 8:00 and 8:30AM to setup the Tent, the Launch Equipment and Pads. Your help is appreciated. Again, I will be keeping an eye out for the weather and play it by ear. Please check the web site or call me at 305-992-5945 before you come to make sure the Launch is on.

Vista View Park allows us to fly 1/4A’s to G motors.

Our Ground Support Equipment includes a custom 3-pad and 7-Pad Launch Controller from Pratt Hobbies, a Six Pad Rack with 1/8″, 3/16″ and 1/4″ Launch Rods and a Quad-Pod for those of you whose Mid Power Rockets need a Launch Rail or a 1/2″ Rod. We are covered for just about anything you can launch in our field.

All NAR and Vista View Park Safety Rules are in EFFECT! Let’s have a SAFE DAY!

You can join the National Rocketry Association http://nar.org
If you do join the NAR, please let them know that NAR# 21632 Sent ya! For every new NAR membership that is recommended by BARS, the club launch fund gets $5.00. Every little bit helps!

That is all for now. Please keep an eye out for our emails which always lets you know of the local launches.

If you need to purchase motors, please see Bernie who usually shows up at the local launches. Please email him in advance at BENBUZZBOY3@AOL.COM to make arrangements. Bernie is a dealer for Cesaroni and Aerotech Motors and Hardware.
