This Saturday will host our first NAR Level One High Power Certification Flights. If you are ready to qualify for your NAR Level One Cert, please signup on our web site or see Marc or Scott before 1:00PM on Saturday to register.
As I said in the past few Posts, everyone who fly’s with us who need to go out into the Launch Pad area to setup up their flights must be a NAR (National Association of Rocketry) Member.
Here are the specifics:
Only the person(s) who want to go out to the pads needs to be a NAR Member. If it just you , then only you can go out into the Launch Area to setup your rocket.
Spectators do not have to be a member. BTW, this rule only pertains to going out on to the field. Anyone else that comes with you are more than welcome at the Launch Table to Launch any rocket that you set up.
All this is due to the Broward County Parks Department and NAR Insurance Regulations.
You will need to present your NAR Card or Pending paperwork when you sign in for your flights.
If you are not currently a NAR Member, you can sign up at http://www.nar.org/NARjoin.html After you have done so, you can print out the receipt that the NAR Web Site gives you and bring it with you.
We will also have NAR Membership Signup Forms at the Launch Field for you to fill out and become a pending Member till your NAR Membership Card arrives. Cash or check only please.
When you join the NAR, please let them know that NAR # 21632/NAR Section # 717 sent you.

Scott, myself and the the BARS Launch Crew usually get to the field at Vista View Park between 8:00AM and 8:30AM to setup the Tent, the Launch Equipment and Pads. Everyone is invited to help and it is very appreciated.
Vista View Park allows us to fly 1/4A’s to G motors. If you are ready to go for your NAR Level One Certification, you now can using an H Motor. Please see Marc or Scott to make a Launch Appointment.
Thank you to all of you who continue to donate to our Launch Fund. We will continue to offer a free Model Rocket Kit for a $20.00 or higher Donation. (If you want to donate and not take the kit that is OK too) Your voluntary donations help cover our equipment and permit costs.
All NAR and Vista View Park Safety Rules are in EFFECT! Let’s have a SAFE DAY!
For all Launches, please remember to bring water, sun screen and head covering to protect you from the Sun. Even though the Summer is over, the South Florida Sun is strong and you will get fried! Chairs, small covered tents and tables are welcome as well.
If you need to purchase motors, please see Bernie who usually attends our monthly launches. Please email him in advance at BENBUZZBOY3@AOL.COM to make arrangements. Bernie is a dealer for Cesaroni and Aerotech Motors and Hardware. Bernie also carries quite a few parts including Rail Buttons and other accessories.
We will catch you all soon! Marc, Scott and the BARS Launch Crew
