Hello Everyone!

Important News and Changes!

MCS_7645a (Large)Everyone who fly’s with us knows Scott Siedler very well.  He is absolutely the backbone of Broward Area Rocketry.

Unfortunately, Scott’s wife is currently quite ill and he will be taking a break from our activities for awhile.

Scott does so much for this club, we were not sure if we could continue without him and honestly it is going to be very tough but we will continue!

The last thing we wanted to do was to shutdown something that Scott worked so hard getting Broward Area Rocketry where it is today.

When you come this Saturday, if you want to drop off a get well card for Mrs. Siedler, please do so and we will get them to Scott and his wife. We at BARS wish them the very best.

Secondly,  Our new start time will be 10:00 AM for this Saturday.  All help will be appreciated.  We should be up and Flying by 11:00 AM

We need people for setup so all help will be appreciated. The faster we setup, the faster we fly.

We are also asking anyone who would like to be a permanent part of our Launch Team.

To do this you should be available the First Saturday of every month and if anyone who can do this,  we are also looking for a free or very inexpensive place to store our Equipment Trailer.

Please check with Marc or Nick this Saturday. You can contact Marc directly at his office # 954-922-8627

Lastly, please note that Bernie has moved to Central Florida and is no longer supplying motors at this time.  We are working with Nick Martin & Mike West to be able to do that. We will have an update soon.

And now for the rest.

Welcome to our August edition of our General Launch this Saturday August 1st, 2015 starting at 10:00 AM

NAR Level 1 Certification Flights:

We still have time slots open for NAR Level One Flights so if you are ready,  lets go for it!

For full Launch Information,  please read our BARS General Launch Information before you come out to the Park.   https://narbars.org/bars-general-monthly-launch-information
The BARS Launch Crew (Nick, and Marc) get to the field at Vista View Park  between 8:00AM and 8:30AM to setup the Tent, the Launch Equipment and Pads. Everyone is invited to help and it is very appreciated.

All NAR and Vista View Park Safety Rules are in EFFECT! Let’s have a SAFE DAY!

For all Launches, please remember to bring water, sun screen and head covering to protect you from the Sun. The South Florida Sun is very strong and even on a cloudy day,  you will get fried! Chairs, small covered tents and tables are welcome as well.

Please remember that Broward Area Rocketry does not charge any per Flight or Yearly Membership Fees for our Monthly General Launch.   We exist solely on your donations.   Don’t forget to throw something in the Donation Jar as you come around to the Flight Table to Sign in.  Thank you all who continue to help BARS offer our Launches every month!

See you all this Saturday,
