BARS Launches are supervised by Launch Control Officers and Range Safety Officers (In Alphabetical Order)
All Flyers must Sign In at the Launch Desk prior to every flight with their Name, Rocket type/name, Motor Used and NAR Number. . You may be asked for your NAR Card and if you don’t have it or the Print-Out from your NAR Signup, you will not be allowed out to the Launch Pads. This is a Vista View Park Requirement.

Any NAR Member may Volunteer to be an RSO. If you are interested please see anyone on the BARS Launch Crew.
We fly at Vista View Park in Davie, Florida.
We have a 3000 Foot Federal Aviation Administration Ceiling. (FAA)
We can fly 1/4 A through G Motors. H Motors can be used for NAR Level One Cert Flights.
Anyone is invited to watch us do “our thing” but to fly your own rockets with us you must be a member of the National Association of Rocketry. Only NAR members may go out onto our Launch Field and prep their rockets for launch. Your NAR Membership Card must be presented to either our LCO, RSO or appointed person for that days launch.
You can get your NAR membership at http://nar.org. Please let them know that NAR # 21632 or NAR Section # 717 recommended you.
Spectators are always welcome and must stand stay in the designated areas.
We do all of this for the safety of all the flyers and spectators involved.
Being a NAR Member is a requirement to go out to the Pads and Launch with BARS. This is also a requirement of Broward County Parks.
Visitors and Sightseers do not have to be NAR Members, but must always behind the ropes and away from the Pad/Launch Area.
At this time Broward Area Rocketry does not charge a Launch or Club Fee for our 1st Saturday of the month General Launch.
We will continue in this fashion because of the donations provided at our General Launch each month.
Thank you to all of you who continue to donate to our Launch Fund. Your voluntary donations help cover our equipment and permit costs and it also allows us not to have to charge Club Dues or monthly per person flight fees which most Rocketry Clubs do. Your continued Donations helps to keep us going by making it possible to get new equipment and keep our current equipment maintained and upgraded.
